The experience and the fleets of the Transatlantic Italian Company and of the Florio Company initially, and those of the Sardinian Shipping Company and of the ADRIA Company later, joined into the new Company. In those years, on the eve of World War II, Tirrenia was already one of the largest ship-owner Groups of the Mediterranean.
