The Aurelia, the first ferry of the series Refitted New Roman Roads, returned to service in 2003 after a radical refitting, so that it was fitted out to the same high standard as the new ships that had joined the Tirrenia fleet.

From the boarding escalator to the 295 first class cabins, to the Lounge deck dedicated to entertainment, the interiors and the services on board have been refurbished to provide maximum comfort.

In June 2003 her sister ship Clodia, identically refitted, returned to the fleet, as did the third sister ship, the Nomentana, in June 2004.

These ferries can carry 2,280 passengers with their 645 cars, at a speed of 18.50 knots. 360 metres long, they have a tonnage of 15,000 tons.
